Course Outline
Day 1
New features in MDT 2010 and Windows 7 Deployment. Create and deploy reference images of Windows 7 (and also Windows XP) using MDT 2010 Lite touch and WDS (PXE). Advanced sysprep handling, answerfiles, drivers and applications. Using Selection Profiles, Deployment Shares and building distributed solutions spanning over multiple sites. Adding Bitlocker to the deployment process. KMS License Managament. Automating management tasks using Powershell
Day 2
Automate Deployment of Windows 7 using MDT 2010 Zero Touch and SCCM 2007 SP2. Integrate with WDS (PXE) and Unknown Computer support. Create and configure Task Sequences. Assign applications and drivers, create packages and configuring rules. Troubleshooting and advanced diagnostics/logging in MDT 2010.
Day 3
MDT 2010 Zero Touch and SCCM 2007 SP2, continued. Customizing USMT 4.0 for user state and data migration. Advanced customization of MDT 2010 Zero Touch, using variables, create custom scripts, frontends and web services. Extend the MDT database with more columns, views and stored procedures. Using Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM). Custimizing Windows PE 3.0, adding components, drivers, etc.

Prerequisites
Windows deployment experience, sysprep, imaging, scripted setups, and drivers. Basic understanding of Active Directory, and Software Distribution using SCCM 2007.
Objectives
Being able to build a deployment solution based on MDT 2010 and SCCM 2007 SP2.
